Considering this R8 - but making an odd noise at startup - thoughts? (Video included)

As per the subject, I am considering this car, but there seems to be some noise coming from the engine at startup. Sounds like something rotational, maybe a belted ancillary? Anything major to worry about do you think? It is relatively high mileage - 50,000km, 2007 year. Thanks!

That extra rotational sound versus a regular R8 startup definitely does not sound right to me.

Agreed that the extra rotational sound definitely doesn't sound normal. As to what it is, I have no idea.

Are you talking about jiggly sounding "metallic" noise immediately on startup? If so, could this be a some sort of loose exhaust baffle? Seems I have read on other posts something about the left muffler being bad and needing replacement on some of these cars. Otherwise, unless I am missing something, sounded fine after it began moving forward.

Agree, the sound did seem to dissipate quite fast after startup in person as well, basically as soon as the car started to pull away. Given it sounds rotational I'm not so sure it's likely to be exhaust related..? Thanks again!

Sorry, but start-up sounded normal for a cold engine...But you should know right away,when the engine doesn't sound right. Contact a local fellow member to compare the cars.

doesn't sound right to me - there's definitely an extra sound in there that wasn't in the mix with mine in those first few seconds.

something sounds strange at 5 seconds, and something sounds strange at 10 seconds. But is the 10 second mark from that front gate sliding open to let the other car in?

5 second mark sounds really weird though.

I listened again and think I heard a chain type rubbing sound. How many chains are there in these motors? Warranty probably ran out already ??
