    My Le Mans Day Rant.

I could not stand to watch the Le Mans knowing full well that my car was sitting in a garage only feet away. Naturally, I decided to put her through her paces.

I just had THE most spirited drive I've had since we got her, and it was absolutely exhilarating. The shifting of the R-tronic, in my opinion, is absolutely perfect. Those that wish for it to have less of a kick down are mad. The R8, in any configuration, is ABSOLUTE magic. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. How one can exit this car without a smile upon their face is truly dumbfounding.

I'm 25. I may be limited in scope in age and on the track, but I've had the opportunity to drive some of the best, from the Ford GT, through the range of Porsches, including the Carrera GT, to the Gallardo and the F430. Without a doubt, the R8 is ahead of them all in overall driving experience. Unquestionable.

PS. While I am sure an update to the R-tronic in time will be welcomed by all, including me, I cannot condone the rubbish that is spoken about its current state. Driving it is an art that I cannot claim close to mastering, but it is its learning curve that defines its experience.

Thumbs up Re: My Le Mans Day Rant.

I've watched some drivers really use up their calories trying to shift through the gears like an R-tronik. Definitely a bit more challenging to race. (ESPECIALLY on smaller tracks with short straights). Like Buttonwillow, Streets of Willow, and Springmountain.
