Great pics, thanks for sharing. I love the black GT.
Do you have any pics of R18.
Slightly underwhelmed by the matte jet blue on the GT Spyder, but to each their own.
I'm not sure that is Jet Blue. It looks too blue.
I also don't get the point of a GT Spyder. Who shops for a track focused car and selects the convertable version? Also, where is the rollbar and harness? I'm guessing there is a popup rollbar and harness mounts behind the seats. Would many tracks accept that setup?
Me, for example. I wouldn't be taking the Spyder GT to the track but would just enjoy driving it around town. Why would anyone buy a Gallardo Spyder or Superleggera or a 430 Scuderia Spider? Not everyone thinks they are only suitable on the track. I'd own any of the above but the R8 Spyder GT is still the best value for the money. If I can find a dealer willing to take a deposit and who can guarantee me an allotment, I'll be all over it like white on rice.
"There are old men and there are bold men, but there are very few bold old men."
How is the R8 Spyder GT is best value for money? It's certainly not best performance bang for the buck as that would be a supercharged V8, not to mention a performance dream.
The key word in your statement is "dream": Audi does not produce a ZR-1 equivalent supercharged V8. If it did, it would rank right up there with the cars I e aren't talking about after-market modified cars and I am not including the Nissan GTR which would shut your supercharged R8 V8 down in the very first second off the line. Of the cars I mentioned (see quote below), the R8 Spyder GT is the best value. I did not suggest that it is the best value for the money regardless of price, nor did I put it in a class of modified cars or home-made cars or front-engine cars, simply my observation that cars that are factory lightened and made trackable (such as Superleggera & Scuderia) aren't always driven on the track but are mostly street machines that can do double duty on the track, and of them, the Spyder GT is the best value of those competing convertibles. My quote is repeated below for your handy reference:
"...Gallardo Spyder or Superleggera or a 430 Scuderia Spider. Not everyone thinks they are only suitable on the track. I'd own any of the above but the R8 Spyder GT is still the best value for the money."

I'd take a Superleggera in a blink.
I mean its a Lambo!!
