Gear shift display position

Guys

I know the "search engine is my friend"...but...i cant find anything on below.

I've had my V10 R-Tronic for 3 weeks now and one thing that does bug me, is the position of the gear selection display.

If you sit low in the car, as I like, you can't see the bottom of the display over the steering wheel, thus can't see the gear selected.

Is there any way you can change the display so that the gear selected shows at the top of the display? I've not read the R8 manual in full yet...so wasn't sure if you could.

You might just have to re-position your steering wheel.

Agreed is an option, so am i assuming then it cant be done on the display....the lack of responses may be an indication

This is just a shot in the dark, but if you can find someone that's extremely familiar with the can-bus system of the car, they may be able to re-write the program code to move this for you.

I'm basing this comment on some things I've seen posted in some threads on boards while searching for RNS-E info. There's one guy that was able to make his V1 display the arrows in the dash info section. (and it was quite cool)

No offense meant with this next comment (as I'm vertically challenged a tad), but I sit all the way down in the cabin and have the steering wheel set so that the under side of the top of the steering wheel is just at the top of the gauges. If you're not able to see the lower section, your wheel's too high or man, you're shorter than I!
