LED strip Headlight on V10 colors

I noticed that my LED strip on my headlight do not match. One is purplish in color and one is white. I went to the dealer and they said that there is a service bulletin saying that that was normal. Does anyone have the same problem? My car only has 2k miles.

I seem to remember this being raised once before last year?

There was a change of LED strip specs and some cars came out with one of each in the changeover period.

Could be totally wrong..but it seems to ring a bell??

It sounds like the color temperature of the LEDs are extremely cool if the color is purple. I would ask to see the manufactures color temperature specification from their vendor. With this information you can go to your local sign company or maybe auto body shop and have them run a color temperature test. I suspect the color temperature should be around 6000K +/- 3%. If you cannot find this PM me. I know some people from the LED manufacturer and they will provide me the specifications. The LED vendor is in your backyard. Lumileds.

My Audi tech says theres a bulletin saying that this is a normal, saying that they were purpleish before, then audi puts some kind of coating on them to make them shine white, and in my case, one side of the led lights coating has disappeared. No one ever had this problem? My audi tech told me if it really bothers me... short one out lol...

Wow! The color temperature specifications are so wide you could get anything from purple to yellow. (6300-3800K). I would complain to my R8 Advocate about the differences.
