just got a 09 r8 have driven 1200 miles
owners manuel at my girlfriends
yellow warning lite just went on with words "min"
no dipstick to manually check level
any simple ideas??
add a 1/2 quart of mobil 1 i have 5-30w

The dipstick is hiding next to the filling tube.

You also have to follow instructions in the manual to check the dipstick by running the engine for awhile and then checking it while warm.

yeah, if it's a v8 the procedure is to idle for 2 mins, engine off and wait a further 2 minutes then check. if it's below the min level on the dipstick then add a litre/quart of oil.
