Install of Lighted Sills

I recall seeing semi instructions for installing lighted sills somewhere on the forum here. I have searched, but I have not found it, as the instructions may not have been titled as such, and may have been within the body of another post.

As I recall, a separate wiring harness was built.

I plan on it if I can figure out where to tap into the power from. I have it all apart right now. If I am unsuccessful, I can at least do a write-up for the side-skirt replacement since that has to be removed.

Yeah, I was trying to get a hold of him on Friday. I did get the sills from OEMplus so I don't feel bad poaching their instructions from them.

Nobody really had any instructions, other than the post by Anoutsider that FiftyPence provided, which was a start. That gave me the idea that you had to pull off the sideskirt and use the vent. You don't have to drill any holes as there is access to through the vent if you remove the rear shelf behind the seats.

The instructions by OEMPlus were merely the R8 wiring diagrams which weren't helpful to me. When I called them, they suggested powering the sills through the fusebox, but I could not find one that was switched. The door module fuse powered the entire door (which powers the door puddle lights) but was not switched. Anyway, I ended up tapping into the footwell lights on each side.



Hope to have install instructions sometime soon, time permitting. The second side went much faster than the first of course.

How do you post the screen shots from ElsaWin to get into Jpeg format. I can do it from ALT-Printscreen, but then I get the entire browser shot. I can copy the image, but then I don't have the text. If I copy and past the text and image, then it is bitmap format.
