    Long Drive

I was just wondering out there who really drives their car? My 2nd question is has anyone take their car on a trip let's say more than 130 miles one way? I said I bought mine to enjoy, but as soon as the car is cleaned I don't want to drive it because I don't want to get it dirty. just wondering how the other members feel.

Get out there and drive it. About a month after I got mine, I drove it South of the border in Canada into North Dakota. I drove it across the Dakotas and into Montana to Whitefish. I drove the Driving to the Sun road in Glacier Park. Then I headed North into British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies to Banff. Then from there North to Edmonton, and then across Alberta, Saskatchewan and most of Manitoba back to Winnipeg. Think that was about 6,000 km. Sure it had to be washed a lot, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. One more time - drive it.

I've driven all over the country in the two of mine - from Delaware to California, Arizona to Wisconsin and even down to South Texas. The R8 makes a great highway cruiser.

The joy of having a car that is smooth and easy on the body over a long day of making Ohio get smaller in the mirror and farther away is something you should be able to embrace!

Who cares if it's getting dirty - the car's supposed to be driven and enjoyed. Get out there and get the back end sooty!

Already up to 2000k in 2 weeks with my new V10.

Probably suspect I am clocking up the K's quickly to run it in fully so I get on the track quicker.

Last month did a 2,400 mile 5 day rally from Boston up to Nova Scotia to do the Cabot trail. Smoked and ate/drank in car, millions of bug hits and even a bird stuck in front grille. After I got back brought car to detailer and when he finished car looked better than the day I picked it up new. Do recommend a clear bra, after 14,000 miles in the last two years did have some marks in the bra, Replaced when it was detailed and here is how it looks now, won best Audi at this German car day show.

I drove mine 350 miles to knock hill race track (in scotland) drove around there for few hours then drove back that was a long day

Its quite common for me to take it over 150 miles in a day but I do work in the garden so I don't commute at all

I'm proud to say mines normally dirty living in country lanes and it rains a lot and its white

just drive till you run out of gas money

drove my black r8 v10 from midlands to scotland this april, chalked up 1100miles, the best bit was driving at the national speed limit small roads through fife. i never worry about getting it dirty. plus i use it pretty much most days for work. cars are for driving, looking at a 458 at moment and not sure whether i should get it or not as i'm not sure its an everyday car like the r8.

We racked up 4000 miles or so when we attended the R8 alpine road trip in 2010.

The R8 is a great daily its easy, smooth, relaxing even but the 458 is a highly strung beast. The 458 race seats are not nice sitting on nails might be more comfortable on the roads its quite harsh I think. So i would make sure you get a decent test drive before you hand your cash over
