My lease is coming up on my cts. Looking to get my daily car when I drive the kids and normal non r8 days. What is your other car?

Depending on the price range, might want to check out a Panamera or a used Bentley CGT/Flying Spur. Decent prices can be found for both. Used M cars are pretty cheap, though I'm not a fan of BMW. CLK AMG's and E-classes are nice.

Lots of good cars available on the cheap these days.

I know this is more of a UK/Euro choice, but my other car is a BMW X6 xDrive 35D (286bhp diesel).

Found this to be the perfect compliment to the R8 as it can be used in the very bad weather thanks to its ground clearance, it holds 4 people, has enough luggage capacity for what I need, is reasonably quick but returns around 35 mpg (29 US mpg) on a "reasonably restrained" run (and hence good range on a full tank) and it handles very well for a 4x4 - which was one of the main selling points for me.

I use the R8 as a daily car...but when I need space and comfort I have a second car, a 2008 Cayenne Turbo (957)...amazing machine! Snow, dirt, fast driving, everything you want it does it right! Not a "fuel economy" car...never a problem I really love it and won't change it!

Otherwise I think that X5 and Q7 are good cars...I like SUV's as seconds cars!

I have an Audi Q7 4.2 S line, and wife drives an Audi A8L 3.0.

Both are great family cars. But Q7 drinks a lot of petrol.

Currently have a 2010 Porsche Panamera S which we are replacing with a 2012 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus as a second car. Our Q5 was recently delivered to the dealer and we will be picking her up together with our new R8 V10 Spyder (arrived at port of Brunswick yesterday).

I have am ML63 amg which I love - tow, haul, super comfy, handles great and is about as fast as the R8...
