    Factory V10 twin turbo

That's right, the Audi RS6 comes from the Audi factory with a V10 twin turbo engine. Flash the ecu and you could be seeing 741hp!

Would it really cost more to transplant that engine into an R8 versus fitting a twin turbo setup to the R8 V10?

Absurdly, the RS6 engine probably costs an amount similar to that of the supercharger kits sold for the R8

There are added costs on top, which I would estimate to be pretty high, in fitting and making sure things work. If it's even possible.

Are you saying the RS6 is currently selling with a V10 TT in it now??

Would it even fit? I asked this question before about fitting a V10 engine into a V8 and people said a lot of other parts of the car would need to be changed to make it work.

I'm not sure if they still sell them now but I've seen 2010 & 2011 (UK) Audi RS6 for sale.

I can't imagine it differs much to the R8 V10 engine so in theory it would be possible to fit to an R8 possibly using some parts of the R8 V10.

Another option would be to take the biturbo setup of the RS6 and apply it to the R8 V10.

Here's an image of the R8 V10 engine and another of the RS6 V10 engine.

Too bad the RS6 is not available in the states. MTM did the exact engine swap for their TT V10 R8 for a hefty $$$.

Its a interesting idea fifty but unless you could get a salvage RS6 engine I think it would be too close to having a supercharger or TT kit

In an earlier thread Desperado, Harrison and I visited GTG in Cost Mesa, CA. They had a 750 HP V10 TT. Everything fit, but they had to do some modifications. This was a beautiful car black car. I think they said it took them six months since it was the first car.

I went from an RS6 V10TT to my R8. In some respects I really do miss the engine, in a word its 'insane.' The power that thing generates and the delivery of it is absolutely breathtaking.
It destroys V8 R8's and does very well against the V10 R8 (120 upwards the RS6 starts to pull it back in.)
That engine in a lighter car (R8) would be a joy to behold!
