    Supercharger envy

So I met up with Bodhii a couple of days ago and listened to him wax lyrical about his supercharged R8, and then this morning, I learned that another local R8 is having a Stasis supercharger installed this week.

What are you people trying to do?? I'm trying my best to exercise some measure of restraint, but you keep throwing temptation at me! You guys are evil!

I'm going through the same process as you right now, Sebring. Just saw the STaSIS V10 and now all I want to do is upgrade my V8 just to get back to zero.

Exactly! I always tell my students that the old saying, "if you're not moving forward, you're falling behind" is actually a fallacy. But in the world of R8s and other sports cars, it really does ring true!

Waiting for 20K miles before I pull the s/c trigger is going to be hard... I do miss the extra hp.

Do it, you will be better than zero since s/c V8 has more power than stock V10

I just bought a V10. If you catch the right deal, you can upgrade out of a V8 (2010) to a V10 (2010) for a bit over 20k (opposed to 30k plus labor for a s.c.). Warranty or not, I would much rather have the near same power out of a naturally aspirated motor.

^ And that is what I keep telling myself. If I SC the V8, I am maxed out. If I upgrade to the V10, I can tune and get more than a SC V8, and when funds allow, SC the V10 for mayhem purposes only.

I find V8 more than enough for the public road and I wont track my car. SC is tempting tho but insurance would be impossible. V10 soon but probably wont be an R8!
