    Titanium Package Question

    Hey everyone,

This is my first post on this site, but have been lurking this site for a while now. This is a great forum! I was at the Audi dealership today speccing out a R8 V10 coupe... When we got to the Titanium Package option, I noticed that it automatically selected the black piano inlays (want to get carbon fiber inlays)... So my question is, Is there a way to get the carbon fiber inlays while also getting the titanium package? The dealer didn't really have an answer, so hopefully someone here can chime in!

    Thanks in advance,
    Tyler

    Re: Titanium Package Question

Nope, you can't put the two together, unfortunately.

It would be easier to get your c/f inlays and such and then order the Ti colored pieces separately and install them yourself, or have someone do it.

    Re: Titanium Package Question

    KrabR8 would be correct.

A little off topic but I just bought a 2011 A4 with the titanium package that has the piano black inlays and this car looks awesome! I'll post more info in a new thread.

    Re: Titanium Package Question

I have the black piano black looks better than carbon fibre

If you really want it tell your dealer and they will do it. Mine had the stock "Y" wheels on it but I had them changed to the TI wheels cost me £1200 IIRC

    Re: Titanium Package Question

Thanks for all your responses... I'm a big carbon fiber fan, but I also really like the look of the black optic exterior that comes with the package. So my next question is, Is there an aftermarket company that makes the carbon fiber inlays that I can buy to replace the piano black inlays?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tyler

    Re: Titanium Package Question

Tyler 1012, I also debated the Titanium package question, but really didn't care fore the piano black interior (fingerprints, smudges etc).

So I opted for the titanium wheels ($500) and Alcantara headliner ($1,300). I will then just get a black radiator grille. The black exhaust tips, in black, are hardly visible, as was pointed out by randombloke?.

So at most, my total outlay would be $2,800, vs the $4,500 Audi is charging.

    Re: Titanium Package Question

As other's said, order the CF interior, and then get whatever black OEM parts from the titanium package you want installed. You will miss out on the black nav surround piece (for some reason it's silver-ish with normal or CF interior). But getting the CF interior bits aftermarket is like $6k, way more than just getting the grill or other bits.

    Re: Titanium Package Question

The CF interior is better value to get built into the car because it's a higher price retail part by part than the Ti package parts you need will be.

    Re: Titanium Package Question

I'm in the process of ordering a 2013 and have the same question. I want CF interior and will order with titanium wheels, but the part of the TP I really like is the black front grill. Checked europrice and oemplus site and did not see it, anyone know where one could be ordered?
