In-car vid of R8 V10 r-tronic on twisty road

After the talk about the dual clutch rumours, thought I'd share a bit of video I took when I was testing the gopro hd camera. This bit of road is one of my favourite local twisty sections and gives a feel for the current single clutch r-tronic:

I have a twisty mountain treat very close to where I live.. which is the only place on a public road I drive thriftily.

Looking forward to seeing it. It's a pity the upload speed of the broadband here is so poor - it'd take forever to upload the clip in 1080p.

I hear what you're saying about public roads - I've rounded too many corners to be met by horses, walkers or stuff in the road to risk blind corners at speed. Amazing just how many people will take risks like that - especially if they're trying to catch up to the r8 as they can't make the speed where it's safe.

That's my cold day, windows down, driving fleece (I was recording windows down and windows up that day). When I recorded the run I had no plans to post it online and no plans to get out of the car other than at my house when I got back. It's comfy and it's warm

Man how I love driving in the UK. Screw up and you're into a stone fence, or a roadside pub. Great roads though, especially in the north.
