Suzuka Grey, choice of the side blade v8

Hi there, my lovely long waited R8 finally arrived, its Suzuka Grey with high gloss finish standard wheel. now the car looks REALLY GREAT with the ice silver side blade, however that i am always a HUGE fan of the carbon fibre side blade too, the audi dealer agree that they could change the ice silver side blade to carbon fibre for $2000 Aud, which is a good price usually retail for $5800.

Just want some suggestion from your guys do you guys think its worth it?

yes, suzuka grey with CF sideblades looks superb.

CF all the way imo. There's a reason the r8 was designed with the sideblade as a means to break up the sides and the CF adds a bit more depth (close-up) than just a plain painted blade.

IF I upgrade to a V10, it will be in favor of Suzuka Grey & CF (coming from Daytona Grey & CF).

I agree with everyone else. Definitely do the upgrade to the carbon blade. Seems like your dealer is giving you a great deal as well.

The CF sideblades look best when you also do the extras like mirrors, front lip and rear diffusor. I thought about doing it with the V10 but IMO I like it better painted to match the gloss black trim.

Absolutely agree! My V10 just arrived with every possible c.f. option, including the "exterior" c.f. package which consists of front lip and rear diffusor. Looks awesome.
