GT Spotted

Yes we have a number of GT owners here but I wanted to share some pix of my find.... I was waiting to run the 'ring the Monday after the German GP and came upon a white GT near the Nodischife start. The owner was extremely gracious with all my questions and picture taking, even turned it over so I could hear the exhaust. He had picked it up hours previous was going to import it to Taiwan (which would be the equivalent cost of the car as duty!!!, I 'think" he said 190K euro as optioned). He had the upgraded seats and roll bar, in all the thing was awesome. The CF in the engine bay was more mat than mine and looked really good. The diffuser is sex!

As a side note I had a great trip to the motherland, also caught the Hungarian GP before heading back. 4 laps of the 'ring in a rented Golf R (KW suspension, upgraded brakes, tires) was a blast, was passed by a red V8 (anyone here?). Saved he Audi and R8 factories for the next trip (result of failed wife negotiations).

Kiran, you're scheduled to get yours in 3 days, right? I'm keenly interested in hearing about the seats and if you adjust to their snugness. I've read here that the seats on US-bound GTs will be different than the racing shells in cars delivered outside the States but have yet to actually see, much less sit in a GT, so I am anxious to hear from others about theirs.

Hi Spyderman, I find the GT comfortable for my size (1.78m 82kg), there is obviously the normal front to back adjustment and then there are three height adjustment holes on the seat subframe so the seat angle and height can be set, I haven't found the need to adjust the height or angle on mine.

Not sure I'd like to do a long (200 -300 mile) trip - no on second thoughts that would be a blast, just love driving the car

I concur. All of the GT enhancements are very subtle but really add a lot to the car. It is too bad we can't get the roll cage and seats in the U.S.
