Vag com - front led??

I have an 2009 R8 V8 and had a question with the VAG COM. I just noticed today that when the lights are in OFF position the LED is at full bright. When it's on Auto...well it's auto. Then the switch before the manual headlight function, I thought the LED's were on full bright in that position, but they are not. Does anyone know if there is a way to have the LED's on full bright when in that mode (between auto and headlight on)??

The position you are referring to is for the "side lights". They are dimmer in this position because you are meant to set the dial to this setting during dusk or dawn, and where there is no need for full headlights. They are dimmer than the DRL's because they would be too bright in twilight. DRL's need to be brighter because they are on during the day.

If you want full brightness then why not just leave it in the "OFF" position?

I would do that but I also want my rear tail lights working also during dusk times.
