Did you notice the picture of this child writer? Drive the car in auto around town? 0-60 in 4 seconds? I wonder if he has ever even sat in an R8.

If there is a class action suit they will need to include all of the auto manufacturers that have copied the R8 LED look.

I'm happy having the lights. I use my car daily. It's low. When it's cloudy the silver is like camo. I see drivers distracted by talking on phones/texting/eating food and so on. I like getting seen before people change lanes or pull out of shopping center exits.

Every article on that website appears to have either been written by a visiting intern having a first attempt at auto journalism or was outsourced to a non-English speaking country and then run through a free translation service on the web. Truly dreadful. Oh, and the fact that the so-called reviewer was apparently not able to conduct a test drive would account for the hopelessly irrelevant opinions expressed. Delete delete delete.

OK, I got the link to work....but someone help me out here:

Are they talking about the std. DRL LED lights? (which is what I have), or are they talking about some feature of the LED headlights option, which I've seen in the showroom but never on the road?

If the former, I agree: much ado about NOTHING! The guy who wrote it must be suffering from photophobia, which can be due to a number of psycho-active drugs. (which is why drug users so often wear sunglasses even at night!)!! (and i AM an eye doctor, though thankfully retired)

And on further reflection, abnormal persistence of after-images is also common with many of the same psycho-active drugs: so my diagnosis is: the author was stoned! And I'll offer to testify as an expert witness for Audi, should they be sued

Sometimes, for me, if the link doesn't work the first time I try a second time and it works.Could the older LEDs have caused more havoc than the newer strip LEDs? Wonder what facts MNGolfer might have on this.

When an article starts off with an error in the first sentence:

then it's hard to take anything else seriously.

LED DRL's are everywhere these days - and giving other cars a better chance of seeing you coming has to be a good thing, especially on crappy weather days.

if this person truly gets "startled" at the sight of led running lights then perhaps they shouldn't really be driving at all.
