interesting to note that they also say that "S-Tronic" IS the transmission chosen (citing reports that it is already in production!), as many had speculated that Lambo's staying with the 1 clutch suggested the R8 would also; they don't mention the rumor that the MT will be dropped

on that score, one reason to drop the MT might be fuel economy, since many of VW/Audi's S-Tronic/DSG cars score slightly higher on the EPA test cycles with an automated manual vs. conventional manual....not to say that means you will actually get better fuel economy; but with the CAFE numbers climbing ever higher, all the makers will be clawing and scratching for every tenth of an mpg that they can squeeze out of the EPA test cycle....never mind what they actually do iRL!

I'm just a natural born cynic when it comes to things like this - I like things to be a lot more concrete.

btw, speaking of the new lambo single clutch setup- saw this in-car aventador clip on youtube:

can clearly tell that is still a single clutch setup but with faster shifts

it's a pchop. if you check the metadata and do a photo-inversion you'll see what was superimposed and airbrushing etc on the original photo.

Duh, how do you think FORTITUDE.COM got their logo on the image? They even claim they had to do enhancements to bring out some features from the shadows.

Pardon the pixelation, but we blew it up and pulled some shadows out of that grille to get a better view.
