Let's hope there's an R8 announcement coming in Frankfurt as well.

Not sure why this suggests the R8 is getting old, technology may change, but I know that if the R8 and any of these three drove down the road in 12 months time which one would turn heads.

The R8 will be old when people stop noticing it.

Me neither. Not interested in any of the boring, ugly cars listed in that article.

sorry mate... but i don't see how this has to do with the R8 getting old..

I live in Dubai and this car turns more heads than Ferrari's and Lamborghini's.

I doubt any of those with be noticed by anyone.

now technically and performance wise it might not be the pinnacle but its more than enough for us average Joe's and our driving skills.

Point isn't clear to me either.
Could it be that these have a smaller 4L TT engine putting out more HP than the V8 and almost as much as the V10 along with some more technological engine management goodies and/or the 7spd dual clutch trans?

Doesn't seem to be a commentary on styling in any way . . .

Re: More proof the current R8 is getting old

The R8 could use a freshening but it's still one of the best looking cars around. I'm getting nods, thumbs-up, and nice comments almost every day.

This isn't a "terrible post" and I would hope that we can disagree without getting personal. I think it's an interesting topic to discuss and I'd like to see Audi strive to make the car better so I can buy the next one and be just as satisfied.

In my opinion it is a terrible post, once again with the title having no bearing on the article cited.

On another note I am very excited that they have confirmed that the RS6 is coming to the US in 2013!!!
