Which color is featured on Audi's site?

Hi everyone, brand new to the forum, drove my first R8 earlier this week when I traded in my Porsche, thought I'd hate the gated shifter, and it turns out that I loved it, and am now looking to order a 2010 V10 Spyder. Which brings me to my question.. what color is featured on Audi's site for the 5.2 Spyder?

It looks white in some photos, gray in others, so at first I thought it was Suzuka Gray, but I don't even see that color listed as an option for this model year, either via the normal configurator, or in Audi Exclusive.

Ideally, I love silver, but I think that the silver might look odd with the already-silver accents on the engine cover + around the windshield; does anyone have some good photos of a silver spyder that they could share? I trolled through the galleries but didn't find any, just a few of the other colors, but I'd prefer to stay with a light, stay-looking-clean-easily type of color, as my previous midnight blue Porsche drove me crazy in that regard

I'm pretty sure that is Suzuka Grey.

You might consider Jet Blue. It's a nice looking silvery-blue. Harrison has some good pictures of his in his gallery.

Haha, V10's on my mind.. I meant 2012 of course

Just heard back from my dealer, who said that all special color orders are on hold, apparently.. so I guess there's no chance of a new Suzuka Gray for me, I'll dig around at other colors.

Regarding Daytona Gray, it looks quite dark in some photos, and less dark in others -- how bad is it to keep clean? Is it like a black / really dark car, or a bit easier?

I've always wondered how the R8 would look in Jet -Black - with no mettalics---W I C K E D....... Is it even an option??

^ Ugh, it would be such a nightmare for those with detail OCD. I have a non-metalic black F150 Platinum (granted it's a truck and they're supposed to be dirty) and I've practically given up on keeping it imperfection free.

Straight black finishes are second to none in showroom condition. Keeping it in showroom condition is another story.

Thanks again for the input! How does Lava Gray compare to Daytona Gray? It looks like Lava is quite a bit more black from the photos I could find, is that correct? Is it not as much of a dynamic color as the Daytona Gray, that soho described?

And another random question that I had.. I loved that alcantara seat in the v8 that I drove; are the middle parts of the full leather in the v10 interchangeable with the alcantara (I noticed that it was not an option on the v10 at all)? So if I could source an alcantara insert, I could swap it out? I really dig the European seats that I found in some of the photo galleries, but I think I can wait on that one.. saw some for $8k on eBay, but boy do they look comfy, I really miss the sport seats I had in the Porsche, and they remind me a lot of those.

Yes, there is virtually no contrast with the "aluminum" engine louvres and silver body color on the Spyder. Same goes for the badges and gas cap cover (Thumbnails 1,2,3)

I opted for a darker color such as Daytona grey even though I already had a Daytona grey RS4. The metallic pearl effect is spectacular in sunlight and with any night lighting. Only during overcast/cloudy days does the grey look flatter. As you can see from the 2 pictures of my Spyder in sunlight (thumbnail 4) and then in fluorescent light (thumbnail 5), the Daytona grey takes on different shades of grey. It does not show dirt anywhere close to black. If you are ordering a 2012, however, Daytona grey was not available earlier this summer. It had been a standard color but was eliminated possibly related to difficulties with pigment supplies from Japan after the tsunami.

Seriously huge thanks to everyone with this big decision! Homewood, do you have a link to more photos of your car? I'd love to see how the CF mirrors look on the Daytona Grey to see if I want to go that route.

I really love the look of the silver, but I hate losting the silver contrast with the windshield + engine cover (dragon scales!? that comes with the Daytona Grey spyders. Here's a though -- I noticed that the R8 GT Spyder has a carbon fiber windshield frame + engine cover grill, does anyone know if those pieces are actual carbon fiber, or just some kind of overlay that I could possibly retrofit (or replace the actual parts?)
