50% discount on track event for R8s

Hi,

Let me fist say that even though I don’t own an R8, I’m a fan. I’m also president of a track organization in Northern California. We run at Infineon, Laguna Seca, Thunderhill and Buttonwillow.

We have never had an R8 at a track event. I understand that saving 50% will not entice anyone to track their car that isn’t into that sort of thing. However, I do hope that someone that is interested might as well go where they can save 50% as opposed to paying full price.

That’s why I’m offering a 50% discount to any R8 owner that is willing to join us at a track event this year. We have 3 events remaining (2 at Infineon and 1 at Thunderhill). We are a small private club with around 200 members. As this is an extremely low price, this offer is only available if space is available one week prior to the event. I can’t turn away people willing to pay full price in order to give someone a 50% discount (I’m a fan but not crazy). This would be for 2.5 hours of track time (as we are a 3 run group club). The discount price for Thunderhill is $95 and for Infineon is $138.

Being a fan of the R8, I’m willing to do this deal but it requires that you drive the R8. Simply owning one isn’t enough. Please send me a note if interested.

I wanna drive Sears (refuse to call it Infin...) and Laguna so badly it hurts. And I've heard nothing but good things about Thunderhill and Buttonwillow.

Have never driven the othere, but having driven the Audi Exp. R8's at Infineon, I can say it's dream to drive in just about every way!

Interesting that he hasn't seen ANY R8's at his track days! The guy I spoke with at Rennline in Vermont (about the tow hooks...see current thread) said he attends a lot of track days in his area and has NEVER seen an R8 at one!

They're a LOT thinner spread than P-Wagens, but gosh, guys, there's two ends of the country where they don't see R8's on the track. Are all the tracking R8's in the middle and bottom of the nation? Come on Coasters, we've got to get out there on our local tracks and show our stuff!

Our web site is cfra.net if you require additional details. Please note that as a private club it requires a password to register for an event. You need to have a sponsor (me) to attend a CFRA event. Once you are sponsored, you get the guest password. I would also need to make arangements for someone to get the discount.

Hi,

I can get you into the Infineon event but I need to add a few deatils. We have combined forces with two other clubs so that we could pay for a summer weekend date at Infineon. No one club was brave enough to take it on by themselfs.

CFRA is only running two groups. Group "A" is advanced and we could get you into that group proving you have a minimum of 5 pervious days on the track and are confortable in an unlimited passing situation. Group "A" is unlimited passing everywhere on the track. Please note no Group "A" cars have ever had car to car contact in the 17 years we have been sponsoring track events.

We prefer that drivers have at least 10 days previous experence for "A" but have made exceptions in the past. Please send me an email if interested: ed.kornegay@hp.com
