I have increased my deposit with my French dealer - (Brit living in France) but have also had a deposit with a UK dealer since mid 2005. Sounds as if I should have the French car (LHD) by June - black with Al sides, Rtronic, Mag ride etc, but appears as if the basic car is well spec'd. Too many speed cameras here now unfortunately.

My dealer has told me to expect direct contact from Audi once they have sifted through the list of deposits taken and removed duplicate orders. I was told to expect to pay another 10% to Audi to move to the next stage. I dont know if that means before or after speccing the car.

I was told by a US dealer yesterday that the deposits were going to be raised from $5K to $20K to weed out speculators.

my dealer asked for $1k ... this past week- so the higher deposit hasnt hit here yet!
