Increased deposit required?

I thought I posted this yesterday afternoon, but perhaps I'm going a little bit crazy.

But - speaking to my dealer, he said that he had been told that Audi were going to be asking for an increased deposit (up to £10000) to sort out the serious buyers in preparation for next year's delivery.

Can anyone confirm this?

Ferrari require a £10,000 Deposit to order a new car .It is supposed to put off speculators
I would’nt mind paying the 5k extra deposit at least then you mite be able to get your car quicker ,hopefully in the summer

It's only recently that Ferrari have increased to £10,000. My F430 deposit that I've got down is £5000 since it was quite a while ago now (the waiting list is huge!)

My R8 deposit is only £2000 at the moment - have you had to put down more?

I was told yesterday that when it's time to spec the car Audi will ask for an additional 10K

I have increased the deposit to £10,000 and have spec'd the car - still no idea when I might win the lottery and take delivery!

I had to place a £1500 deposit, which is to be raised to £10,000 at the point of specifying.

I put the deposit down yesterday, cant wait who knows how long though

spoke to my dealer and he confirmed that audi are now looking at all the customers and how much deposit each has put down and then will be contacting them direct to discus ,options and delivery date
he also confirmed that an extra deposit 10k in total will be collected at point of confirmed spec direct by audi non refundable

my dealer will not even put you on this list if you have not put 5K down

he saying that they do not want the same thing with the R8 as of the Rs4

Well ... I'm first on the waiting list at my dealership ... have had my deposit of £1,500 down since the end of last year ... and have heard nothing from them about an increase to the deposit ... although it seems this isn't going to be payable until you specify your car ... I'm sure it's intended to ... 'sort the men from they boys' ... as it were ... if I do hear something ... I'll let you know on here.

It's to stop people with low deposits selling there space and making a quick
buck
