Jet blue with silverblades...Just look in upper right corner !! The forum mascot!! I still think about jet blue blades for my jet blue. You will love the subltety of this classy color.Almost goes unnoticed...Sometimes.(compared to citrus orange0. But ,had I been able to get that silver/green I would have.,An even more unusual R8. Last nite in Sunset beach Cal. A fellow at Mothers' pub saw my jet blue and stated it was the first he had seen on the streets.Maybe he lives in a cave-But he was a learned Ferrari ,Porsche owner.

Bill....that is a terrific color combo. It was my choice a few years back when they could not order the CF side blades. Now that the CF seems to be readily available, I tried to load the car with as much of it as I could. I just skipped the CF front lip as I hate to risk scratching it and then having to pay for a CF replacement part instead of a plain plastic one!

I'm a guy who notices cars (as I'm sure we all are on this forum) and
I have only seen an R8 on the road in Portland metro area traffic TWICE since
the first one's arrived here in the Fall of '07.

One was an all black one that I've never seen since (may have been Phil Knight, founder of Nike and known for all black cars...he did have a black NSX). I've heard that there's at least 3 black ones in the area but only one black on black. Of course at a distant glance it can be hard to spot a black blade from a carbon fiber one.

The other was a Mugello blue that I saw once in traffic and once parked at "Skyline Burgers" out on our kind of equivalent of Mulholland Drive....the place to park your ride or sport bike for informal Saturday "lunch and show."

An additional siting that could be counted was a silver one my wife saw while we were in heavy freeway traffic and I couldn't look up fast enough! So that would be 3 different cars in what, 2 years? In a metro "market" area of 1.5 million or so people. Of course, neighborhoods in the LA basin have greater populations than that!

I believe that there's been "about a dozen" (or maybe slightly greater now)
R8's delivered into Oregon from informal, word of mouth survey. So I suspect the majority of people have only seen one in pictures, or maybe the AudiUS
demo model that's been at our auto show.

The NW chapter of ACNA is going to have an "Audi corral" in the infield at the upcoming Portland Historics Race @ PIR. It will be interesting to see if some R8's show up. Somehow, I don't think a lot of the R8 owners around here are "car club" types or vintage race fans, but we'll see. It's a great venue if you're at all interested in classic sports cars and vintage racing. Every year I see a few cars that just break my heart they're so beautiful and appealing!

Have new 2011 V10 Spyder ordered and confirmed. Build week of may 31 and delivery to states and my ECoast dealer in July/August.
V10 Spyder, Red, black, black, carbon, enhanced leather, 6MT, carbon mirrors.

Currently own 2009 Ice Silver, loaded V8 coupe w/ carbon.

Sold my R8 4.2L last week to a gentleman in Minneapolis who owns some restaurants. Daytona Grey with CF and Limestone interior.
While I was at the dealer ordered a Spyder and a Coupe. No money down no deposit. Went through the ordering on the computer and sent them off to Audi. The Spyder has a lot more options along the lines of enhanced leather treatments to the plastic parts of the dash.
On my Coupe, I ordered the Daytona Grey, Limestone interior, MT-6, Interior and Engine CF treatment, Enhanced leather, Alcantra headliner, Lighted door sills and Nav/Bang Olefson stereo. I Skipped on the outer CF (front air lip, and rear spoiler), the door sill CF and the rear view mirror CF. I also ordered the Titanium wheels. The Spyder was almost the same with a black roof.
My dealership is a small, compared to the East and West coast, and won't get that many of either. They may not even be scheduled for a spyder.
