    Euro roadtrip...

Taking off on a two week trip through Europe today!! Hoping this will be a great trip.
We are driving through Germany, heading down to the french riviera and over to the Italian side. After that we will head back home through the winding alp-roads of Switzerland.

Any recommendations of things to do and places to visit?
We would love to spend a few nights on a vineyard somewhere.

R8Sweden..this is one of my favorite drives when I am Europe..

You must drive the Napoleon Route in France..which ends up in Cannes.

Make sure you take a stop at Castellene for lunch..the quintessential french hillside village.

Check out both links..You'll love it.

gazza1, thanks for your tips. I will give your route a try. We are right now in a place called bernkastel in the Mosel valley in Germany. A beautiful place, but perhaps a bit too much of a senior citizens place. ;-)

Have fun, pack lightly - I did a similar trip in an MX5 back when I was younger and trying to pack a tent and everything into that was interesting enough. The French highway that goes straight down the middle over the Milau Viaduct is awesome, as is the viaduct itself - recommend that route for a quick dash back up from the med.

2009 Condor Grey Q7 4.2 Prestige - Cardamom Interior, Nav.

    Sold Cars:
2008 Meteor Grey Audi S5 - Magma Red Interior, Nav, B&O. Auto-folding mirrors!

2009 Silver Dodge Challenger SRT8 - Sounded great, got old fast.

Drive the Stelvio Pass from Davos into Northern Italy. Stunning from both sides. And there are vinyards throughout the Italian side all the way through Bolsano.

It is quite simply gorgeous in every respect. And the R8 will love it.

FWIW: If you have not already obtained custom luggage for the car I recommend Bespoke in the UK.

I bought 2 soft pieces for the front and 2 hard for the rear shelf. Makes all the difference in space utilization when packing.
