    Question Two Cars, Pick One..

I know that buying a car is very personal and emotional decision. That being said, I am truly ON THE FENCE about making my decision.. and would appreciate the help of my fellow car enthusiasts by giving me input on which car you'd choose and the reasons behind it.

I've narrowed my choices down to two cars, both white with black interior (favorite color combo), and both priced at exactly $155K.

Car will most likely be a DD. Parking will not be an issue, since I have valet service in a private building.

    Car #1

Heavily optioned 2011 Turbo S, original MSRP of 182K. 3,246 miles. Has a 1000.00 clear bra installed. Private party vehicle. Car has been thoroughly checked out by previous potential buyer (whom backed out of deal due to financial reasons), and the report shows the car as being perfect in every way.

    Car #2

Brand new- hasn't even arrived yet, 2012 Audi R8, 5.2 V10 w/6 speed MT (my preference is for the manual, but please take this out of the equation) MSRP of 165,000.00. Very nicely equipped as well with all the nice additions such as CF side blades, CF interior, enhanced leather, contrast stitching, alcantara roof, titanium wheels, etc.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and will help me identify with my own preferences.. and ultimately help me decide on my new ride!

NVRL8R8, it's certainly a good deal- but it might also be because my wife and I have bought 5 cars from them in the last 2 years (2 of them were for my parents in law). We may also be picking up a nicely equipped A7 by the end of the year. I know that 10K off is pretty much unheard of anywhere else you go for an R8, esp. a '12!

Yeah man, that sounds like a very good deal! A no brainer if you ask me!

Even compared to the Porsche that had an original MSRP of 182K? That's what's making it a bit more difficult..

While the Porsche is an amazing car, it will barely turn heads, and will depreciate much quicker (amongst other things i.m.o.). If that doesn't matter to you, then I guess you can't go wrong either way.
27k drop already on the P-car. What's that tell ya for the future??

The Turbo is a great car. I almost got one. You've got power and space for luggage and some cramped seats in the back if you have kids. The R8 has room for only 1 more and very little carry space. You're not going to go wrong either way. If you don't need the rear seats, I'd get the R8. Compared to the Turbo it seems newer, fresher, and more exotic. If you get the coupe, it's great looking at the engine under glass and the car has a bigger wow factor.

There's no right answer. At the end of the day you're going to have a really great car either way.

Good point, and the owner states that he's only had the car for 3 months! Nice R8 in your avatar by the way.. white is my favorite color. Do you have any pictures you can send me or link me to? Love to see how the HRE wheels look since that would be one of my first purchases along with an exhaust system!

R8 all the way, but you didn't expect to hear anything else asking this question on an R8 forum, right?

You're going to just love this car and it will love you back.
