Dealer incentives on leftover 2011's

Hi Everyone,

I have been scouting this forum for some time now and I pulled the trigger on a V10 R8 (today in fact).

I was thinking pre owned but then I found out that the brand new 2011's weren't going for much more than pre owned 2010's.

I purchased a 2011 for well below MSRP and actually below invoice. I'm sure this has to do with the incentives...

Is it common for a new R8 to go below MSRP and invoice? I was always under the impression these cars were going at least above invoice which is why resale value on these cars have been pretty decent comparative to the MSRP price.

How much did you pay? I have been considering a V10 coupe to replace my 09 V8.

What was MSRP on it, and what dealer did you buy from?

I got bought a 2012 spider at 4k over invoice
which was about 8k off msrp on my optioned car.
