Anyone in the States have ceramic brakes?

Has anyone in the US/Canada ordered an R8 with ceramic brakes? If so, please get in touch with me.

I've run into a problem w/Audi - They won't send certain parts (anti-rattle plates & springs part #4E0 698 269 - need two sets) to my dealership, as nobody's ordered a car w/ceramic brakes there.

The dealership was able to get the pads for me (Audi did complain about this too), but they can't get the parts - which is really odd...

After my track days and thin pads, the heat generated managed to let the anti-rattle plates warp and now my new pads rattle badly.

Audi's parts supply house needs a serial number from a car before they'll send the parts to the dealership. What a pain!

So, if you've managed to get a car w/ceramic brakes from the factory, please pm me. I need a little help on this one.

Do you just need a VIN# of a car that has the Ceramics directly from the factory? If so, Audi Exchange in Illinois has one on its floor being sold. It's VIN# is WUAGNAFG4BN002384

Not sure if that helps being it hasn't been sold yet...

I have seen a Spyder with carbon brakes and of course a GT so there is definitely cars here with carbon brakes (factory installed)

KfabR8, Calbenzo is right, I did get a 2012 V10 coupe with ceramic brakes.

It sounds like just getting a VIN solved you problem, but if not, let me know how else I can help.

I always enjoy your wonderful posts...so it's the least I could do.

Thanks guys - called up my Parts Mangler, gave him the serial number and he said he'd get the parts on order. I've not heard anything from him, so I'm guessing the order went through.
