Just ordered an R8 SPYDER!

I am very excited. I have owned over 40 cars, and the last few have been bought strictly based on power, especially 1/4 mile times. I have drag-raced almost every car I have owned. If I back up a few cars I had a GT500 w/712rwhp. It was a monster at the track w/slicks but was totally useless on the street, then a GTR -AWESOME CAR-, ran 10's w/just a tune on street tires... perfect traction all the time! I said after that car i would never go back to RWD ever. Next car ZR1... I could not help myself. 10.69 STOCK w/only 300 miles on the clock WITH sticky tires. On the street though... same as GT500, could not enjoy it at all... so off it went to a new owner. I have tried to buy a 2012 GTR for the last month! FL dealers are so fond of them they want 5-10k over sticker.... I really don't think they want to sell them. I took home an R8 for the night from the local dealer (dealer trickery) and I fell in love. It's not the fastest car by any means I have owned, but so awesome to look at! Sounds great! and has a lot of pop! I can't wait for mine to come in. Here is a pic of the loaner (bait) and a few other cars I have had fun with!

Those aren't the stock ZR1 wheels in the dragstrip photo. What were you running - wheel and tire size, and compound? Just curious as I have a ZR1 as well as my R8.

A little off topic, but how tall a ceiling is required in order to install a lift and have sufficient space underneath so as to keep the underside of the lifted car clean? Obviously, I don't expect to be able to stand up under it because that would mean a very high ceiling, but what is the recommended minimum? Ten feet? Can it be done in under 10?

10' to stack cars, I raised the section over the lift to about 11'6" I think... I can stand under a lifted low car now.

Saw that, which I why I studied the pics.
I've considered the CCWs, a friend has them on his Z06 - did you stay with 19", or go down to 18" dia? CCW was recommending 11.5x18 front and 13.5x18 rear width. Did you run these widths without problems, or did you experience rubbing? TIA.

To be honest, I borrowed those wheels/sticky tires for that run.
I don't know the exact specs. However CCW has made four sets of custom drag wheels for other vehicles in the past and John has NEVER let me down. I would go with whatever he suggest!
