    Suspension Modifications: Suggestions?

    Hi
I'm thinking of stiffening the suspension. I have a V8 R8 ( supercharged). I do like the Mag ride softness on the highway though.

I've reviewed threads and other sources and see the following options on first look:
    1. H&R springs, keep mag ride dampers: Lowers and stiffens
    2. ABT lift kit, new springs & dampers, stiffer & lower but can raise car up when needed (could be useful as I live in SW London w/ speed bumps !)
    3. Similar MTM kit
    4. Stasis spring & damper setup

Can anyone comment on installations of any of the above in terms of ride quality and stiffness on track etc?

    thx
    Mike
Ps. A few photos from Audi Driver Track day yesterday - big fun at Castle Combe circuit. My car did pretty well against the GT's there for a little old V8. http://www.r8talk.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

    Re: Suspension Modifications: Suggestions?

I would look into slightly lowering the car with a high quality spring set, ( H+R, Eibach come to mind), and then go with a slightly stiffer set of anti-roll bars. That's all I will be looking at doing next year for the track. Oh, and obviously track pads when necessary. I will never remove the magnetorheologic shocks as I love the compliant ride too much.
