From 2004 NSX to 2009 R8 V8

Hello all
I am on my second day of ownership of my new sled ! I owned my NSX for 5 years and I loved that car more than some family members (jus kiddn) but
I now drive the R8 and it's such a different type of drive (in a positive way)
I like it better than thought I would. My NSX was automatic with sport shifter and only drove it in that mode, the R8 is R-tronic as well, the difference is amazing although The Nsx throttle response is uncomparable to me kinda like instant "right now" R8 is not, probably because I have not had a lot of drive time but....My biggest question is the rear spoiler, I would like to have OEM style GT spoiler added, have questions like where to buy, can pop up be dissabled.

I just sold by beloved '98 NSX, and need to replace it w/ something, thus hunting around for an R8. Sadly Honda never offered a replacement (despite countless "next NSX!!!!" headlines) - so some poor car has to step up & fill its shoes.

How do you compare the NSX to the R8 in terms of pure precision mechanical feel? Do you feel the extra 500 lbs?

I have an NSX and an R8. The R8 has literally turned my NSX into a garage queen. When they are both sitting there in the garage, there is just no question on which one is the better one to drive. The R8 beats the NSX in all possible ways - power, handling, braking, looks, sound, comfort, luxury, and overall performance. The NSX just feels old (which it is) and not nearly as capable and refined. But the NSX is such a good old friend, and by itself it's not a bad car at all - it just doesn't begin to compare with an R8.

well my friend first I understand when you say " sitting alone NSX loks awesome" but before I picked up R8 i took side by side pic and my sled looked very dated.
as far as the 500lbs I would say yes becuase the nsx was so quick and R8 is just plain fast but not as quick as NSX... Good luck my friend.
