The new R8 platform for 2014 has been confirmed, but my dealer continues to deny any impending facelifts from now until then and they've already begun ordering their 2013 R8s.
Anyone else confirm/unconfirm this?

A couple of us Forum Members down here keep getting confirmations that a general face lift is next year and all new design the next.
They come from people within Audi that I suspect are privy to some forward information.
The latest confirm was only a couple of days ago.
Car sites..seem to continue to promote a facelift next year as well.
Does seem a bit off though, that they would invest in a rejig next year and then all new the year after.
Maybe due to its iconic status or falling sales???..it's worth the investment

Life Is Full Of Surprises.
Virtually every other Audi has been getting nips and tucks lately, even only being 1-2 years old. Audi is definitely leaving money on the table with many people waiting on the sidelines for the rumored revision. LA Auto is forthcoming, hopefully some news, but not holding my breath.
The typical pattern, as a particular model's "version" matures, is enhancements in the form of "tweaks" to performance, looks, option packages, etc. to keep interest and sales up as the particular model moves toward being "stale" in the eyes of the buying public; the climax phase of this, especially with VAG, is when you start to see "special editions" and other major option packages; at that point, you know that an entirely, or mostly, new version of the particular model is about to emerge....and when it does it will have lots of new features but very few options or factory "tweaks" available at first....so that they have room to start the slowly escalating cycle all over again![]()

I don't have any inside information, just the normal chats when I visit various dealers in our area.
No one at the dealer level I've spoken to has denied a facelift and DSG for USA MY2013 models.
Confirmed by whom? Past 2013 I have no idea what the timing will be.

A further thought on Audi "tweaking" the sales of the current R8:
I'm sure a lot of you have noticed the full pages Audi ads for the R8 in car mags lately (2 in the Nov. R&T). Though Audi hasn't been shy about promoting the R8, especially as a "halo" over their whole line, this (to me) is a relatively new thing...a full page ad specifically touting the R8 (and it's a v8 they're depicting). I would take this as a sign that they sense interest flagging a little in the current car and, as I said above, "facelifts" and tweaks, if not "special editions" will be soon to follow....to fill the "gap" until a "new R8" is ready.

They're even offering a $20,000 cash incentive up here in Canada for the V8 at all Audi dealerships.

Don't forget the Le Mans Limited Edition as well!
My sales guy seemed pretty certain about 2014, and also there were articles out quoting R8's chief engineer Michael **** as sharing with the media how the new gen R8 in 2014 would undercut the weight of the current gen by 30% with extensive use of the aluminum & carbon tech developed by Lambo.
If I bought a GT, I'd be pretty pissed if a facelift came a year or less after its release...but you never know?
As far as I've been able to tell, this has only been announced in the UK. It may be specific to that market?
So true, so true...
Of course the GT is much more than simply a cosmetic exercise. There are true performance enhancements in weight, power, and aerodynamics.
