Life Is Full Of Surprises.
A fusion of the R8 coupe, R8 cabrio, a Lambo and a Ferarri. Looks great, and those who aren't crazy about the sideblades will love this.
I'm not feeling the rear all too much though. And still love my V10 much more than this.

I love the sideblades - I hope they don't drop them.
I think that's what makes the car universally recognizable, even to kids!
I like the look of it, from this angle. I hope I'm wrong, but I have never liked those vertical slit vents below indicators on any car I've seen them on. It always disrupts the lines and makes them look too busy.
Latest example I've seen on the road with these is the 1m.

Audi has impressed me over the years so mush on all their lines I trust them. Look at the signature headlight forms and shapes. It will take all the other OEM's 10 years to get close. The subtle lines of the now old a8 were ahead of it time and now the front grilles and headlights of all the new models define the tone that line has.
I am sure the r8 will stand alone in the field. This isn't it IMO. It looks to "been there done that".

Lovely form overall but the rear end seems to have really GROWN! Kinda reminds me of the change when the C5 Corvette came out --never grew to like that either. Hmmmm.
Sideblades are a unique feature and would be a shame to see them go.
Thanks for finding and sharing this!

The existing R8 rear took some of its syling cues cues from the Testarossa. This one seems inspired by the CTS. Even if more "modern", IMO a step backwards. At least here in the States where the cadillac is an extremely common sight. But after staring at it a while, I can see where it might grow on you.
And who else thinks those side skirts are a little much?!?

They're not really going to ditch the sideblades, are they? It'd be like a 911 Turbo without the whale tail.
