Opportunity To Spec Spyder GT

My dealer has just offered me the opportunity to purchase and spec the order for the only Spyder GT he has been allocated.

I just took delivery this past July of my current 2012 V10 Spyder which I'm now thoroughy enjoying after having finally resolved a "no start" issue.

At this point in the R8 lifecycle I think It makes sense to pass on the special editions and possible facelift and to wait for the next gen (hopefully in 2014). My instincts are also telling me that if I really wanted a GT I would opt for the coupe and not the Spyder.

Any thoughts?

Agreed!! You'll take a massive loss to upgrade to the GT... I would enjoy that beautiful spyder you have and look for the next model.
I would only consider it if you believe the GT spyder, being of limited production, is a long term keeper and classic (which I doubt).

With due respect to all GT owners..the deprecation I suspect will be very painful next year.
