What's My Car Worth?

I've just listed my beloved R8 Spyder V10 on eBay last evening and it is already getting a lot of looks and some active bidding. I think I have a reasonable reserve on it but am unsure. I don't want to overprice it and not sell it before the holidays and don't want to underprice it and give it away. I have over $13K invested in HRE 20" wheels, Alcantara interior, powder coated calipers, etc. I paid $174,350 twelve months ago. So, what's the consensus on what is a fair price for seller and buyer on my car?

Today's market....$140K. People are getting 20K discounts on new.

The R8 market has really softened this past month, and there's a huge glut of them now, my guess would be 140-150 for yours...definitely has turned into a buyer's market for these cars. Anything beyond that range seems to just sit on the market... the V8 market has pretty much collapsed in my opinion, anything north of $110k just sits and sits.

You have the nicest spyder I have seen for sale, should be able to fetch a good price. Good luck! What's next?

41 R8's on ebay as of now, and growing each day. I couldn't find 1 that has met the reserve or close to a reasonable BIN price. I'd restore to factory (at least the wheels) and sell them separately. The add-ons are too personalized and may only appeal to small portion of an already small pool of buyers.

Agree, better chance if you return it to stock. It's nice, but not for everyone.

I'd buy a stock R8 before that.

I have seen and been in this car while in Naples on holiday earlier this year, its one of the best looking R8s i have seen, the interior in alcantara is amazing, yes its down to taste but this car oozes quality, working on a standard spec in the UK this car would now be worth $135,000 but i would say worth at least another $5k extra with all the mods, i think others are right to restore the origional wheels and sell the HREs on this site, i think you changed the springs too Jeff? Your car looks great but the facts are the r8 has been hammered in depreciation
I had a deal on a 2011 new 175 msrp
And the dealer was selling to me for 152k
The car wholesales between 135 on the lower end higher end 140's
If your car was white I would have given u 140 for sure.

from my research, white has been more expensive than other colors of comparable specs, and they move much faster as well
