Just wanted to offer my best wishes for the festive season to all R8 Talk members, i love this forum and although i have not been quite so active since selling my Spyder earlier this year i hope to get back into a new R8 in the coming year following completion of my divorce in April !!

Best Wishes for Xmas to all members and a safe New Year.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the garage,
The engines were silent awaiting the next bon Voyage.
All the tanks were topped off with High Octane 93.
Each hoping to be chosen for the next days journey.

The tires were all checked, tread and pressure OK,
with dreams of performing on the next track day.
All washed, waxed and buffed to a shine,
All ready to race down the thin white line.

When out of the stable came such a roar,
It sounded like 10 cylinders running full bore.
I sprang to my feet, ran across the cold floor,
pushed the button and raised the garage door.

My eyes were a wonder at what I did see,
My R8's lights were blinking and calling to me.
I knew right away this must be some car
as it invited me in with its door half ajar.

I jumped in the seat, put both hands on the wheel,
568 horses (AMP ECU Upgade) in my butt I could feel.
More rapid than prior Porche and BMW M3,
we over took all traffic with confident ease.

As I shifted through the gears, locked into sport mode,
there were many "looks and stares" at the R8 on road.
What a fantasic machine, a real driver's delight.
