Picking her up today!

Guys, just wanted to say hi. After 9 years of 911's I bought my 1st R8. Been drooling on YouTube for a few days and now on my way to pick her up in LA. Looking forward to my drive back to SF bay area.

She is a 2009 V8, phantom black with all OEM carbon inside and out. 4K miles and CPO'ed till Dec 2014.

I was originally looking at the 2012 TT RS until my wife and I saw an R8 in flesh and blood. First time my wife pushed for the larger car investment. Love her for that.

What I can't find yet is the possibility to stream BT music. Is there a way to do that?

I've just sold my RS TT to get a new spyder.
The TT is faster, but the R8 feels much more special and the steering feed back is night and day better than that of the TT.
Sound of the V10/V8 more than makes up for the loss of speed in the traffic light derbys.

To stream music over BT you need AMI and then you need to purchase the optional lead.

I'm guessing the R8 follows the TT in terms of technology changes, if so, AMI didn't release on the old canbus based cars until 2010, thus - no possible way to stream music on the older R8s. You "could" change the navunit for a MY2010> one. Personally i wouldnt bother, just copy the music onto SD cards if you have Nav.

All the leads have the same part number 4F0 051 510 - then the letter is the cable type, J being BTA module.
