GT Owners US / Euro variance, pipe in here?

I got word that my new GT will be ready for pickup next week, and I received some photos of it. I noticed that the hood cowel above the instrument panel is not matte carbon fiber, but in all the videos/reviews I see of the car theirs are. When I inquired about it to the dealer he said he believed that the matte carbon hood cowel is a european only option, and he can't seem to find it as a build option in the system for the US GT.

Can anyone who has received their GT in the US confirm that's the case... because the carbon one looks fantastic, and the normal Vinyl/Leather one in the photos is not so great.

I'm wondering if this can be retrofitted... as it really gives the instrument gauge panel a nice look.

This part does show up as available in the US and I haven't heard any other GT owners stating they didn't receive this trim in matte carbon fiber. So was/is it supposed to be standard on the car? Every video I see it seems to be present... but my car it's just non existent. I'd really like to get the carbon cowel. I'll have to sort it out with my dealership I guess.

I am not certain if it's a standard North American or US part to be honest. I haven't seen a GT without the matte carbon cowl. I would have suspected when ordering you could delete it, but I would assume it was standard. I'd chat with the dealership and see what they can do for you, if they can't help I can. I actually have a customer now who received a car with some special options that didn't arrive on the car and his dealership reimbursed him for this so he could purchase the missing items.

My car came standard with it (USA)...the GT is standard with the pulls and cowl as matte

Europrice, can you price it? My car definitely doesn't have it, and the dealership seems to think it's not a standard ordered option, and isn't sure if they can get it.

I just looked at the dealer price guide straight from Audi, and it definitely was not a US spec option, it's not listed anywhere. My GT has every option on the US list, so it must be a Euro spec thing. Bleh, I hate it when they make cosmetic items Euro only. I can understand safety items.. but cosmetic items should be similar on both models.

The Option Code straight off the Audi Order Guide for the USA GT Spyder is "7HC" and it stickers for $1,850 if that helps.
