Just General question which one of them faster from 0 to 100 km and max speed.![]()
Stock vs stock, they're all pretty much the same. AMGs are all governed to 155 mph, though, so you need to get the delimiter option (which is usually part of the Performance Package), or to get an ECU tune, where most tuning companies remove the speed limiter as part of the process (Kleemann, RennTech, MHP come to mind).
Still don't see why these cars would ever be cross-shopped or seriously compared though. Apples and oranges all of them.

It doesn't matter which is faster, it's which car you'll have more fun driving. If in your case it's the first cars you mentioned, go for them...
One thing is for sure though, none of those cars would be faster than the R8 driving in curvy roads, and that's where most of the fun is.

Based on some of the road tests that I've read, the R8 (V8) would get spanked by the SL63 or the C63 in the quarter mile and zero to sixty. Top end might be closer if the limiters were removed on the Benzes. But, as others have said, these MBs are a very different purchase than the R8.

The merc will take you sideways the audi will be the quickest around a track
You can make the R8 slide if you give it the flickboths mercs are just normal cars with big engines the r8 was design to be a supercar

I'm probably once of the few avid AMG fans that was lucky enough to own an SL55 and an SL63, and reverted back to the last-model SL55 !!
I have owned my R8 V10 for a couple of days, so I am no R8 expert. However, I would now take a v8 R8 over any of the mercs, for a number fo reasons. Most importantly, the handling of the R8 is beautiful - out of this world compared to the AMGs. The SL specifically is a powerhouse, and the torque is just insane. This results in LOTS of slippage, from standstill, around corners, all the time. You learn to know it, obviously - but the r8 just glides around corners, the same corners that I was expecting to slip as I have been for 5 years of AMG ownership.
Also, the AMGS are an unknown breed - they look like normal Mercedes to most people, only people that understand the merc ranges really appreciate the difference between an SL350 and an SL63. It depends what you want out of your car, and I'm not a show-off at all, but the appreciation for the R8 even after 2 days of ownership is immense. I think my colour combination really helps, but people have just LOVED the car.
I've not had mine a full 48 hours and yet the comments have been unreal. Someone even came over to ask me questions at my 2nd petrol station visit yesterday, then asked if I minded a photo being taken!!
I think that if you decide AMG - you'll really love it. If you decide R8 - You'll love it more. Sometimes it will take you to own the AMG and then the R8 just to appreciate the difference.
Best of luck. Any questions PM me.
Had an R8 5.2 for two years. Also have a C63. Love(d) both cars, but they have precious little in common with each other.
I did race with C63 amg and my R8 V8 did very good, I got a head of him and the higher speed we go and more distance R8 go.
