Autocar UK New Audi R8 2014 Article

Just walking around my newsagent today and noticed this:

Not sure if I'm that keen, and it's probably nothing like what it will really look like. Prefer the current lights, and I think I'd miss the blades.

Sad ... Audi has totally lost it! For a moment, I thought I was looking at a sports version of the Audi 'A' something!!!

Even the Spyder, without the side-blade, can still be recognized as an R8 (with the top taken off)

The 911's, the Fairlady Z's, remain good examples of a revision faithful to the original 'source'.

Personally, I'm glad I have the original copy!

having purchased the autocar magazine issue too, i was not happy to see the sideblades removed, but who knows maybe they might come back.

the overall look does not appeal to me as much as the current R8 though

i agree i read it also, might be lighter and a little faster but looking at the design it looks like a completely new design...wont know until something gets announced though....but if thats the way its going, i might start thinking about ordering my maclaren now

I would be truly surprised if audi included stop-start in the r8
