best iPod cable for 2009 R8?

I am trying to figure out the best cable for connecting the iPod to the B&O upgraded system. I tried a basic single prong - single prong into the headset opening of the ipod and the music didn't all come through (ie. sounded faded and distant), then I used the old cable off my M3 which has an iPod connection on the handheld end (ie. a long flat amphenol-looking connector) and a single prong into the car, however it has another cable hanging off it and is very unwieldly. What is the best cable to buy for this car?

Understanding that burning my favorite 6 playlists onto CD's and jamming them into the 6-pack is likely the cleanest possibility. Old school!

    Thanks!

Or use the SD cards behind the radio. Works fantastic.

Unless you have a MY10 you can't use AMI.
The units <MY10 you can connect via the idock - but no track info is displayed on your headunit.

However, as above the SD cards are soooooo much better than the ipod anyway.
you are limited however on the old units to SD cards only (none HC).

Had all sorts of problems when trying to get music that would play onto the sticks, BUT covert to MP3 (if required) and all is tickety boo.

Sure wish there were an easy path to upgrade to the latest MMI and iPod interface.

Just load up and SD card or two with MP3's. Create directories for each album or genre and it will all work on the menu.

Do we still have to use a certain type of SD card? Had this issue with my first R8. Thanks.

Was also looking to connect my ipod. I have the aux connection on my 2009 r8, but will I be able to control the ipod music from the screen? Or just from the ipod?

    Thanks.
