Is the alcantara headliner worth it?

I ordered my R8 V8 back in December and it's about to go into production stock soon. The one option that I keep wavering on is the alcantara headliner? What are current R8 owners thoughts? Is it worth it?

PS. This has been a torturous wait.

I got my 2012 V10 in December...two of the options I chose were the extended leather and alcantera headliner. I would recommend both, for the money a new R8 costs the options are definitely worth the price. Only wish the CF interior option came with more CF....I think I'm going to have to add more this spring

I would do it! I didn't have the alcantara headliner in my V8, but I do have it in the V10 and I love it! I didn't mind just having the base headliner in my V8, but now that I have the alcantara headliner, I really love it.

I had the alcantara headliner in the v8, but didn't bother in the v10 - it's just not something I noticed and have not missed it one bit.

I don't have it and I've had my car for nearly 4 years now. Thinking about it, I have no idea what the headliner of my car even looks like.

    I say waste of money.

I'd only go for it if Audi gave me an unlimited budget and I suddenly got a burning desire to tick ever option on the list...
I wouldn't pay for it myself.

I guess I'm one of the few then! Lol. Every time I get in the car, I always find myself looking around for a bit and taking in every aspect of the interior before I drive off. I do tend to look up and feel the headliner quite a bit.

When I searched people seemed to think it good job dampening sound but I've only driven the car with it so I can't compare.

I just point out the fuzzy roof when people get in

I don't really pay much attention to it, but most of my passengers notice it.

I have it and love it. Give the classy touch on the roof and my steering wheel.
