Anyone seen one in Mugello Blue?

I'm trying to decide between Mugello Blue, Daytona Grey, Phantom Black or Ice Silver.

    I have first refusal on a Audi demo car, plus my own factory order which is currently;

    Daytona Grey with Carbon Blade
    Black Leather
    Bucket seats
    Standard Suspension
    Cruise Control
    Light Package
    Tyre pressure monitor
    Acoustic Parking
    Heated seats
    Sat Nav Plus
    Stainless Steel pedals
    B&O sound system.

But I would normally always choose Blue if it were available, but I haven't yet seen Mugello on an R8 to help me decide.

    Anyone seen any pics?

    Steve,
Mugello Blue and Monterrey Green were not available on first production run. I saw it on picture in one internal Audi document but, I think it was PS.

If you order Mugello Blue standard Night Blue side blades are a must. I have a small model(1/43) R8 in Mugello Blue with Oxygen Silver side blades-not very nice IMHO...

Also you can order any Audi color(from any model in current range) via 9996 code, price is higher but, you will own unique car.

Well I went and looked at an RS4 in Mugello Blue and I 'kind of' like it. It's blue, which is my favourite colour, but a little dull compared to some of the other blue cars I own.

We took a look through the R8 dealers pack and actually thought that Mugello would look best with Oxygen Silver blades, so now that's in my top-3. I am also really tempted by Ibis White with Carbon blades, that would look awesome but a little loud. Daytona Grey worries me a little, I am concerned that after 6 months I might become a little bored with it, but I will keep looking at pictures of R8s as the are delivered and hopefully make the right choice before production begins.

I am not intending to use my R8 every day, so it does not need to be business friendly. Mugello is perhaps a little sober, but we'll see.

well exaclty that happend with my A6 in daytona grey.. ok its a totally different car, but the color soon got boring.. and after each car wash, its just didnt change.. its was still grey.. ok grey shining instead of grey with dirt.. but it looked the same...

agree on the white part, very sexy but maybe more a color for a gallardo driver

Black and blue with silver SBs should look awesome

    good week to you guys!

Re: Anyone seen one in Mugello Blue?

That's what worries me with Daytona Grey (no offence to those that have also chosen it). I spend a lot of time polishing and caring for my cars and need to see some payback for my efforts. Silver tends to become invisible after a while, Grey can seem dull, but I always find reward in Blue or Black.

White I am not sure about, its been a long while since I owned a white car and I'm sure there must be some unfamiliar downside to owning a car in this colour (apart from standing out like a snowman on a beach).

I've just bought a new TT in Brilliant Red, so that's another first for me. Maybe I should play it safe with the R8...

I am pretty certain that Jet Blue is lighter than the original colour shown on the Le Mans prototype.

I will have a Jet Blue R8 for half a day sometime in early July, so will have more time to assess it then.

I had a volvo V40 T4 in "autumn gold".. basicaly an rust-orange metallic color.. verry very rewarding after a carwash... seemed to be new even when some years old... now that makes car care easy and fun

Jetblue comes very good with silver SBs but I find it not masculine enough fur such a car...

but whatever color u guys choose, one thing remains the same:

My feelings exactly. I would have prefferred Jet Blue to contain more 'black' pigment, which would have given it a sporty and masculine edge.

Over the years I have learned not to experiment too much with car colours, what works always tends to work, and what doesn't work (no matter how good it looks in the showroom or brochure, will usually not have enduring appeal). Any paint which is neither one colour or another, is usually doomed to failure with me.

What bugs me with the R8 is why Audi didn't just launch it with the 'best' and most enduring colours. Where's the Avus Silver for example?
