    2012 Audi R8 V10: Buy or Lease?

Do most of you buy or lease your Audi R8 V10 Supercars? What is the advantage of one over the other when it comes to cars in this price range?
Finally, should I wait for the 2013 production instead of the 2012 and what are the anticipated changes, if any? Thank you, in advance.
    Rob

With interest rates on news cars at 1.79% (NFCU) IMO the only way to go is finance as much as you can for the 60 month period.

Cant believe leasing would beat this with interest rates so low.

I could not turn the deal I got when doing the math.

Good point for a piece of it anyway...I actually did that with my first TT for a chunk of the car...instead of cash down paid a third with the card, financed the rest then paid off the card with the down payment cash i had...instant points.

I'd wait. The R8 is getting a facelift and the DCT very soon. Unless they give you a very good deal on it under MSRP, you are buying the old model right before the new one comes out. Bad idea imo, especially considering the improvements to be expected. Then again, if you want it by Summer I guess you don't have a choice.

I personally wouldn't buy a new one. Just pick up a used one to play with.

The facelifted R8 is highly unimpressive imho. If you're like me and insist on a manual transmission instead of the r-tronic, the DCT doesn't matter. The only thing is the bump in ~15HP that you may want to wait for. Having said that, I believe if you plan on chipping your R8, it will negate the difference (i think the added hp is strictly from software enhancement as I understand it?).... I got my 2012 R8 V10 2 weeks ago for 12k under MSRP in Canada... Coupled with Audi Canada's 4.1% finance rate for 5 years. That was enough to entice me to buy!
