    Tire Recommendation for 2009 4.2?

I have about 8500 miles on these Pirellis 235/35 295/30. I'm not really pleased with the road noise, but I love the performance. Not so happy with having to replace soon though. These are the original tires. Most driving is in the country or on the highway. About 300 miles per month, never in snow....stays out of the rain.
    Any input would be appreciated!

The Hankook V12s are phenomenal for the price. About to order my second set now. Got about 16 months out of them. Fronts wore about as evenly as the rears.

I replaced my stock Pirellis with Michelin's new Pilot Super Sports last year. They had about 10k miles on them and were pretty gone, now have 8k on Michelin's and they still look new. No comparison between the two, Michelin's beat them on every level. Search here and you will find many happy users of them

Michelin PSS seem to be the best road tyre for the R8 at this time from user reports.

My broken record comment: Pilot Super Sports. Fantastic tires.

Great feedback when they start getting on the edge, don't just decide they're done (aka P-Zero), they'll break free nice and smoothly and are great to slide and recover from.

Wear is pretty darned good too. I've not seen quite the longevity out of my rears on the PSS's (about 11K) as I did the PS2's (14K) but I'd not trade. - there's a big chance that I've been quite a bit harder on these tires than I was with the previous two (well - the TT was brutal on rears), so my shorter life of rears is quite possibly directly related to the fun factor of the right foot...

My fronts have about 15K on them now and are still well within wear limits - I'll bet closer to 20K out of them.

I guess my only complaint about the PSS's is that when they're a bit cold they tend to push. (usually see this in the mornings)
