I dropped a plastic screw when doing the mod. Is the dealer the only place to get one and what is the actual part name?

I did this mod today, My opinion is that my car is 15% louder in normal driving and it has a better exhaust toneFor a free mod its worth doing.
This mod will not make your car sound like an 1984 grand prix race car.
But like I said for "free" ...well ok, 20 Min's fiddling about! its worth doing
Ps I did mine from the top of the engine bay. easy!
I did this mod to my v10 as soon as I got it back in January.
Didn't seem to change the exhaust note much if at all.
The car ran ok to start with but the last two times I drove it I noticed a loss of power during acceleration.
I put everything back to standard and wow, it's like the car has had a re-map - much more responsive through the revs.
I hadn't realised how much power I was down.
I guess the exhaust valves must have stuck closed?
dont bother did it on my v10 waste of time, change the exhaust.
no change in tone, and a loss of power
The valves are open on the v10 with or without the mod at just 3200 rpm, so there's certainly no power loss for most of the useful rev range. I can't say I've noticed any drop off on in power in the lower revs either, but I can at least get that back-pressure might have some kind of impact - but I really don't see the "like the car has had a re-map" effect going to or from this change.
true, on the v10 the difference in sound level isn't as marked as the v8 - and even on the v8 it's not a massive step change, but for a 10 min mod, it's worth it imo.

Has anyone put a switch in that would control the exhaust valve remotely?

can't imagine why anyone would go to the bother of figuring a way to do it - it's not a massive difference whether they're open or closed. There's no difference at all once it gets into the 4k+ rpm territory, as they would be open if left stock.
it's nothing like the difference on an aftermarket exhaust.

There was an aftermarket remote controlled switch that was on a thread here about a year ago. Never heard if it got installed or worked or not.

Last year AWE was willing to sell me their remote switching module separately. I'm not sure they are still willing to do that, but it does work well and I find it pretty handy. That is with a Tubi exhaust though. As randombloke said, it's probably not worth it with a stock exhaust. All you get out of open valves on a stock exhaust is a little more startup bark and low rpm rumble. It's nothing that would really annoy anyone so you might as well just leave them open if you like it.
The exhaust valves on the V8 are open at start up and when at idle, they close at 1800rpm on the V8, they open again with either 'full throttle' or after I think 4000rpm, if you accelerate from low rpm along something that will reflect the noise (like a wall or building) you can hear the car go quiet at 1800rpm:
Ten minute job to disconnect, go under RH engine bay cover, pull the pipe off the solenoid valve that goes to the exhaust valves and fit a small length of 'blocked' pipe in it's place,
Cheapest exhaust mod you can do, and anyone who can't tell the difference needs a hearing aid
Mine was better on fuel with them open to the tune of about 1 to 2 mpg on the same run to work,
