    Re: Stasis Exhaust installed

Just installed the Stasis on mine... It really sounds amazing, like a F1 car... I doubt any other exhaust on the market right now sounds like it. At cruising speeds though it is significantly louder than stock, probably takes some time to get used to. Will post a Vid soon...

    Exclamation Re: Stasis Exhaust installed

Wow I can feel your exitement.Like from the silent bicycle to the motorised !!!(Playing cards clicking on spokes).I can't wait to hear the Stasis in person.Cat back? Beware ...The engine will run so freely, even at Idle that the smogging procedure can get tricky. One part of test is to Idle at 1600 Rpm for 60 seconds and can be very difficult to do with the after market Exhausts. At least It was giving me doubts as to whether I was going to pass with the Miltek installed. After many tries VIOLA!! Passed !!The problem was the engine would want to keep accellerating a bit.Did'nt want to stay at constant R.P.M.. She Idles perfectly steady, and Cold/rich start super smooth too.Gotta' Love it!!!!!!!!

I like the way it sets off someone's car alarm in the background!

    Re: Stasis Exhaust installed

    Hey guys,

I had my Stasis exhaust installed yesterday. Wow what a difference! It wakes up the driving experience.

Like others have said, it rumbles at idle. From idle to 4000 rpm, rumble continues and transforms to solid engine/exhaust sound. From 4000 rpm and up, it becomes Italian. You get the F1 ripping silk sound thereafter.

Surprisingly, to me, it is louder from idle to 4000 rpm than from 4000 and up.

it is about twice as loud as stock.

The engine revs free-er and faster, makes less vibration, less nervous at high rpm and as a result I fell that the car is more stable and handles better because of it.

At 4000 rpm and up you can feel that the engine is smooth, more capable and potent than before.

Lastly, it sounds much better in person than in video.

Great sound in those vids. I'm also curious about this; has anyone heard both and is able attest to the differences or similarities?

    Re: Stasis Exhaust installed

After reading this thread I did two things, canceled my order for the R8V10 and placed an order for the stasis exhaust. Have had my 2009 R8 for almost 3 weeks and loving it more every day. Has more power than I need so instead of getting killed trading in a new car I would rather just put some money into modding. Having installed by my Audi dealer in about 2 weeks
