A challenge to the exhaust mfgs

Which one of the exhaust manufactures that come to the site are willing to step up and give this one a shot?

I'd like to put an aftermarket exhaust system on my on order 2011, but here's the sticky point: The system must make more HP than stock and it HAS TO BE AS QUIET OR QUIETER than stock. (and compliment the STaSIS supercharger that will be going on the car)

I'll even supply my car as the test mule.

So, there's the challenge: Make a system that works, drops weight, but doesn't increase sound levels one iota.

Any takers? I bet there's a market out there for it, as I'm sure I'm not the only sound weenie on the board.

I am having the cats removed from a system I bought so I can achieve two out of three. It won't be much lighter however.

Yes, I am often so amazed at the thunderous demand we constantly hear for quieter R8's! * joke

You never know who will salute until you run-up the flag. Maybe someone will take you up on that challenge. Good luck!

Understand your goal here but for myself as a R8 Weekender I want flair, noise and theatrics when I turn the key.

The quietness and characterless exhaust sound of my GT-R is what made it pretty boring to drive.

No don't think so..my other cars are whisper quiet and that's how I want them.

IMHO I just believe that part of the Supercar experience is the flair and drama they provide on all the human senses.

Generally as you get older you turn things down..so I am against the trend.

I may be attempting some sort of quiet exhaust with cut-outs for a V8 car. Performance doesn't always mean loud, but makes it much easier and it is nice to have the option.

Someday all cars might be electric and then you will hear zero noise, except for wind and tires squealing.

    No..they have that covered.

You can have as a option different sound tracks to play through the audio system such as a Ferrari or Chev engine etc linked to the engine revs...so don't worry, us combustion heads have a bright future ahead.

Here's a sample of the same principle..
