Meisterschaft GT Racing Exhaust Video and Sound Bite for the V10

As far as I can see, I have the only one on this forum thus far. Sort of an off brand for the R8's, but seem to be more accepted by the BMW crowd. This exhaust was on the car when I purchased it (save me $6K or so )

I don't think it is that loud which is fine with me. My wife thinks it's too loud however!

I think the quality of the sound is fine.

While it doesn't sound loud in this video, here is the problem with judging loudness by listening to a video: Unless you set your camcorder to manual audio mode (and most Point and Shoot cameras or inexpensive camcorders won't even have the ability to do so) the camera will use compression (automatic volume control) to turn down the volume to keep distortion out of the sound recording, and conversely turn up the volume so it doesn't miss the quiet sounds. So the volume of all sounds is compressed into the more narrow range of loudness in which voices can be recorded with good intelligence. When I listen to your video the Quality of the sound changes dramatically from idle to high RPM, but the Volume really doesn't change all that much. Yet I know in real life there is a huge dynamic range.

Volume notwithstanding (as per Desperado's comments above), I think it sounds very refined, a nice way to enhance the R8's exhaust rather than altering it completely.

It was already lowered and aligned. The car was listed for $149K with 9K miles on it. The original owner had picked it up in Detroit and drove it cross country to here, so at least a lot of the miles are highway miles. I talked him down to $135K (unfortunately we have nearly 10% sales tax in Cali ).
