AMS Performance TT R 8 ghost

Has anyone seen or heard anything on the AMS performance car word on the street is that they have been working on the kit and one guys car for over a year I was excited that a local shop like AMS had decided to do Audi etc but the guys from my car club told me that the owner of the Audi is pissed and going to ship the car to UGR ?? not veryified but from a good source I guess the guy has like 25 high end cars and at first was like no big deal .I would be pissed a year if that was my car I would have pulled it 8 months ago .Im looking for some advice who should I send it to I wanted to keep it local but dont like what I have been hearing so UGR Or Heffner all I want is honesty a good turn around time and reliability .In exchange I will pay for that service in full and be a loyal client.

i recommend Heffner and his crew to everyone that asks me about TT'ing these cars... Jason and his guys really know their stuff!

with that being said threads like this based on heresy always suck.. there's three sides to every story!

I think there might be a bit of confusion going on. We did indeed have this gentleman's car for 9 months but not a year. During that time we designed, developed and tested a full turbo kit for the Audi R8. We also spent a great deal of that time polishing the tuning solution for that car. Making power is never as hard as making sure a car is driving correctly. In addition we developed some solutions for problems other tuners were having with the R8 twin turbo kit.

We did indeed battle with some tuning issues along the way but that is just par for the course when you develop something like this from the ground up. The car is indeed running like a top now (800 all wheel hp on 93 octane) and from my last conversation with the owner ( a couple days ago) he was very happy with the car.

So to summarize we did not just install a kit in that time, we designed it from the ground up. To do something like that right it takes a great deal of time. We knew this going into it and for that reason the customer was not charged a penny for labor and was giving the kit at a fraction of the cost.

I want to set the record straight my name is Dave and the owner of the R8 from AMS the car is done it runs great it was a long project but its not a bolt on kit .The work is outstanding but that is second to the performance which is out standing I have built over 50 cars with TT super chargers Blowers you name it and this was with no exception difficult but in the end AMS delivered a fast smooth quality vehicle the time frame will be much shorter for all of you going forward the hard work is done LOL .Keep a eye out for my TT lambo review going to send it to UGR for 1500 hp oh yes !!!AMS does great work and great service they built my GTR alpha 10 also which I beat the SH?! Out of every chance I get .
